About me

Hi!
My name’s Fredrik. I’m originally from a town just outside of Gothenburg called Partille, and I moved to Stockholm 7 years ago.Just before I started study game design at Future Games 2023 I moved to Björkhagen, and I love living here. Being close to nature means a lot to me, and I take walks in the forest as often as I can.

Three of my biggest interests are games, music and lighting. In my early twenties I studied composition, music production and singing. I worked with that for a couple of years. Later on I started studying lighting design, and I still work part time as a lighting designer alongside school. Having worked in music and lighting has made me reflect on the design process early on, and I've been able to apply some of the theories on the level design I've made. I've also made music, SFX and lighting for most of the games I've been a part of during the education which has been really fun.

My family and friends are very important to me, and I’m so grateful for all the support and encouragement they give me. I hope I do the same to them. One of my favorite moments this year was when my sister called me and said that my 5 year old nephew wanted me to watch when he met Bowser in Super Mario Odyssey.I watched him being cheered on but his entire family, and when he beat Bowser everyone screamed of joy. I was so happy to see all the support he got, and that he wanted me to join was just adorable.He was so proud of what he had accomplished, beating his first game. But I was also reminded of the impact games has on us. Not only the person playing it, but the people around them. I hope that someday the games I'm part of can have that impact on people.
